Informatics provides an effective data management system for data processing and tracking compounds, assays,
data and other related information. Informatics also uploads data into PubChem so researchers around the world
can benefit from discoveries made at CPCCG.
Informatics relies on CBIS, a chemical and biological database developed by ChemInnovation. CBIS is flexible, scalable, easy to learn, and cost-effective. The database processes:
- Compound registration
- Inventory
- Data collected through plate readers for biochemical assay and cellular assay campaigns
- Multivariate image analysis results (and provides users with convenient image viewing)
CBIS centralizes data from all biological activities within the center.
The system is supported by additional resources, including Spotfire to aid in visual QA. Pipeline Pilot is also
integrated to allow implementation of QC steps in the chemical registration process and to bridge the data transfer
from CBIS to PubChem.
